so i was catching up with joy and an old college housemate of ours this weekend, who relayed this story. apparently she has developed a bee sting allergy, and has to carry an epipen around in case of a reaction. as a bonus, she also gets to tell co-workers about it and explain how to use it, in case she can't inject herself with it. she tells us how she is explaining the process to her sort of bizarre co-worker/superior -- basically, take off the cap and jam it into my upper thigh. joy and i wait breathlessly for her co-worker's reaction, and we are not disappointed. his response, and our subsequent running gag of the afternoon:

"do you have to take your pants off for that?"
