what the heck?

what crack smokers decided that telephone keypads should be set up with the number one at the top, and calculators and computer keyboards should be set up with the number one near the bottom? and why did i only just realize that this morning?

i think i was actually in shock that i never noticed before, given that i'm an accountant and use keypads, calculators, AND phones quite frequently. sheesh.

I can't believe you people didn't notice this until now! I guess it is just natural for us to dial and type the numbers as they are for the respective pieces of equipment. Interesting...
