lazy saturday
before katie and i ventured out into a sunny, but very cold and windy, saturday photo spree, we nurtured our narcissism. the early afternoon lighting and shadows offered through the apartment window were fantastic. katie ran the remainder of her batteries down by taking 152 pictures of her eye [a brilliant shade of blue, i might add]; i played around with my light settings and self-timer. after an hour and a half of shooting and downloading, we overfilled the crock-pot, set it on high, and went out and about to brave the elements.
one masonic temple, one catholic church, one desolate playground, and one covered bridge later, we returned to the warmth of the apartment and the bubbling of the chili. hot chocolate drinking, more picture downloading, yummy cornbread making, tasty supper eating. mmmmm. and last but not least:
