hypothesis

today i have come to the conclusion that the increase in the number of accidents during the midwest winter months is not, in fact, due to conditions of snow and ice; no, i believe that we actually become dumber when the temperature drops below fifty-five degrees fahrenheit, regardless of precipitation. and the last minute shopping factor doesn't help any, i'm sure. on my rainy drive to lunch today, i passed no less than four accident scenes. it's not like i have that far to drive. and seriously, it's just rain, people.

it's december! time to freak out!

i'm beginning to think maybe i should be worried about my four-and-a-half hour drive "home"?
