you know you're an introvert when your temporarily mute friend [due to vocal cord surgery] converses more than you do using text-to-speech software on his laptop.
how is this for a scene: me at said mute friend's house. kt calls my cell, checking up on me. ah ha, two birds with one stone: she can check up on both of us! katie is already using her outside voice anyway, but i turn up the volume so we can both hear. i read his arial 36-point font comments out loud [sometimes anticipating the about-to-be-typed response, word for word -- scary], ignoring the "blah blah blah"s typed during moments only katie and i are talking. luckily the brain we all seem to share gets passed around throughout this circus, and the conversation is, for the most part, fairly cohesive. oh, and don't forget the obligatory long midwestern goodbye.
on a related note, i am officially HORRIBLE at charades.

And I was thinking I might need to tone down the outside voice or I'll be the next one having vocal cord surgery.
no throat singing and you should be fine...
;P
ps. what would cause one to have to have vocal surgery? does it take long to heal from?
basically i think a growth on one of the cords was snipped out. i believe it's at least three weeks until normal talking may resume.[?]
kt - love it.
