i'm having a freak out myself. are you allowed to scream at work?
the manuscript i've been working on for the past year, the disk it's saved on is now telling me it isn't formatted & my tech-savvy friend tells me i'm pretty much screwed for retrieving it. all of the little tweaks i made last week and couple hundred words i added on friday, all gone.

Disk? You still use disks? Like the little square kind with the sliding door? Sorry to hear about your work. Disks suck.

still not working. still freaking out. so much information in there.

yeah, i'm so behind the times. and obviously old school is not cool when a disk becomes corrupted.

mdog, do your tech peeps know about your webmail problem? it's not system-wide?

email is working at home, possible disaster averted. either something happened within the last hour, or there is some sort of email crackdown happening at work. or maybe i'll toss my cookies tomorrow and see if that helps anything.

I usually feel better after I toss my cookies.

apparently i can't check private email from work anymore. doesn't make much sense to me, since we're not on an ou server anymore and we don't have tech peeps. we have this tech consultant kid that shows up once in awhile, but he's mostly useless and just buys lots of expensive shiny things that we really don't need, but my boss doesn't know any better.
