I saw it a few weeks ago. Glad I rented it. It was funny and more than a bit disturbing, but it wasn't earth shattering. Then again, I only own three DVDs.
what i want to know is what made paul laugh that hard a year ago... because he was laughing REALLY hard at this movie [and his wife even moreso]. i thought i was going to have to remind them both to start breathing again.
My husband and I finally watched this movie. It was awesome! The parts that made me laugh were perhaps the most disturbing parts. Maybe it's an uncomfortability that happens. Anyway, my husband was crying he was laughing so hard! It was a great experience for us both.
We bought it for the in-laws. It was $30 at Barnes and Noble. That is kinda high...you could just rent it 10x for that...and I liked it, but not 10x worth.
I have been dying to see this since it came out in theatres, but for some unknown reason Jeff hasn't wanted to see it. I will take your recommendation and force him to go with me.

i saw this in the theater and bought it as soon as it came out on dvd. i highly recommend it. not earth-shattering, no, but definitely worthwhile.
It is very disturbing...
but I have not laughed that hard in a year.
and Jared's first blog post in months was on a phone... after visiting an HIV orphanage in Honduras... the thing that made him post was a phone.
I don't trust his opinion anymore. :O)
