gonzo?

current irony: my casual footwear choices tend toward styles that may be referred to as "bowling-esque" [that is, by people who may or may not ever have set foot inside an actual bowling alley. this is akin to the word "jazz" being appropriated to describe any song, by people who may or may not ever have listened to actual music]. but i digress. so imagine my surprise when my search for actual bowling shoes turns up a wasteland of footwear that looks like it belongs on a tennis court. or your great-uncle edward. plain white with logo stitching? come on.

in other related news, i did get a new pair of shoes [alas, not of the bowling variety]. as i told kt on my way home from christmas, "i got a new pair of shoes... and... um... and i have no idea how to describe them." ah, but thankfully, i have found a description. and as a bonus, i feel it has the potential for various and sundry situational and personal uses:

[and i got the grey ones. in case you were wondering. because i know you were.]

Hey, wait a minute, that's what the description on the last bottle of wine I bought said!

Ooh. I have something similar, but mine are light purple. And they are hiking sandals, so they have holes in them. But basically the same. Mine and yours are both awesome.
