how i think it should work

i totally concur. a boy smiled at made small talk to me at barnes and noble yesterday...i was nice, and answered his question, but i was reading...so...i kinda went back to my book.
it's not like he would have asked me out anyway. i think i have that 'i appear closed off and therefore intimidate people' thing, too.
