i am going to start swearing
i am sitting at my desk with fast food spread across my desk. clearly you are not stupid enough to not realize i'm taking a lunch break. so what makes you think THAT I WANT YOU TO TALK TO ME ABOUT WORK RIGHT NOW?? GET OUT OF MY OFFICE.
close enough
me, on phone: "accounting, this is maria."
her, confusedly: "er, this is... atoning?"
the best part is that she was calling about recently filing for bankruptcy.
one week
life is busy here lately, but not really for anything particularly exciting or newsworthy. a realization i have come to in the past week is that being introverted takes up a lot of freaking TIME. social events abound nowadays, and you know as well as i do how much i love my friends. on the other hand, i know better than you do how much i need to CRASH, either in one big dose, or [preferably] in little pockets of crashyness throughout the week. it's either crash or have a meltdown, and personally, i'd rather go with the controlled crashing thankyouverymuch.
in one week i will be in sunny california for the upcoming rachel + ali non-saturday nuptuals[!!!]. i'm definitely not in the same I NEED A %&$@!^& VACATION mode that i was in before my vacation with kt, but, i'm certainly looking forward to a little break from the norm. and not only because the norm contains so much cold. and ice. aaaaa.
mmmmm, vacation. california, here i come.
words fail me, pt 2

thoughts from paul here.
cliché
i'm sitting at home alone, drinking a bahama mama cooler, listening to a mix cd, and thinking about wearing black tomorrow.
really, i'm okay, but i thought the entire combination was amusing enough to relay.
mu shu, plus
current fortune cookie wisdom: do not compare yourself with others. you will be happier.
clearly impossible
dustin is my hero of the day! computers are magic, and clearly impossible, but he speaks the code and saved me from throwing the $&@! thing out the window. which would have been very bad, since it's not really mine to throw.
thanks again!
:D
hometowners
for those of you who know joslyn from high school, it is looking as though her husband, jason, may have cancer. updates on their blog, here.
